Ketua Majelis Pertimbangan DPP PPP Muhammad Romahurmuziy mengatakan bahwa seruan untuk “taubatan nasuhah” bukan ditujukan pada personal, tetapi kepada semua pengurus DPP PPP untuk meminta maaf secara kesatria karena tidak berhasil membawa parpol itu masuk ke Senayan.
“Ketika saya menyampaikan seruan untuk ‘taubatan nasuhah’ itu kan ditujukan kepada seluruh jajaran DPP. Kenapa? Karena memang baru kali ini dari 11 kali pemilu yang diikuti; PPP tidak masuk ke Senayan,” kata Romy sapaan Romahurmuziy di Jakarta, Jumat malam.
Menurut dia, para pengurus DPP harus meminta maaf secara terbuka kepada kader dan simpatisan partai di seluruh Indonesia, karena telah gagal membawa partai berlambang Ka’bah masuk ke DPR RI.
Untuk itu, kata Romy, DPP juga harus bisa menyiapkan kader dan membuka diri untuk hadirnya calon pemimpin baru di tubuh PPP.
Selain itu, para pengurus juga wajib mengevaluasi kinerja selama Pemilu 2024 dan Pilkada serentak 2024 agar apa yang menjadi kegagalan partai tidak terulang lagi pada pemilu mendatang.
Romy melanjutkan bahwa secara nasional untuk tingkat kabupaten/kota suara partai masih berada di angka 8 juta lebih, tetapi suara di DPR RI hanya 5,8 juta.
“Kalau partai yang lain, suara RI-nya itu jauh lebih besar daripada suara kabupaten/kota. Artinya ada kegagalan di level Dewan Pimpinan Pusat Partai yang harus menjadi bahan introspeksi,” katanya.
Sebelumnya, Plt. Ketua Umum Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) Muhamad Mardiono mengaku tidak alergi dengan kritikan dan evaluasi atas pencapaiannya pada Pemilu 2024 yang membuat parpol itu tidak lolos ke Senayan.
“Saya meyakini dari setiap ujian dan tantangan pasti selalu ada peluang untuk bangkit lebih kuat kembali di masa yang akan datang,” kata Mardiono ketika membuka Musyawarah Kerja Nasional (Mukernas) II DPP PPP.
Mardiono mengaku bahwa ia tidak antikritik dan alergi untuk dievaluasi atas kekalahan pada Pemilu 2024 yang menyebabkan PPP tidak dapat masuk parlemen.
“Saya tidak alergi dengan evaluasi. Saya juga tidak alergi dengan kritik, saya juga tidak alergi untuk mengakui kekalahan, mengakui kesalahan karena memang manusia tidaklah ada yang sempurna,” ujarnya.
