Aset kripto Bitcoin (BTC) dinilai memiliki peluang besar untuk mencapai level baru seiring data Consumer Price Index (CPI) Amerika Serikat yang mencatat level indeks sebesar 315,493 untuk November 2024, meningkat 2,7 persen dari sebelumnya 2,6 persen pada Oktober.
CEO Indodax Oscar Darmawan menyatakan data CPI yang sesuai ekspektasi telah memberikan angin segar bagi pasar, tidak terkecuali aset kripto.
“Jika data ekonomi terus mendukung dan kebijakan moneter global tetap kondusif, Bitcoin bisa mencetak rekor tertinggi baru,” ujarnya dalam keterangannya di Jakarta, Sabtu.
Selain itu, lanjutnya, optimisme terhadap kebijakan suku bunga yang lebih longgar dari Federal Reserve dapat menjadi katalis positif bagi pergerakan Bitcoin dan aset kripto lainnya ke depan.
Menurut Oscar, kenaikan harga Bitcoin baru-baru ini juga mencerminkan minat institusional yang meningkat. Investor institusional mulai memahami peran Bitcoin dalam portofolio mereka, menunjukkan pergeseran perspektif terhadap pasar keuangan tradisional.
Pada 12 September 2024, harga Bitcoin berada di sekitar 100,000 dolar AS, naik sekitar 2,6 persen dalam 24 jam terakhir. Altcoin teratas seperti Ethereum mencatatkan lonjakan harga 7,2 persen dalam 24 jam, XRP 4,7 persen, dan Solana 5,2 persen.
Oscar juga menekankan pentingnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap kripto, ketika semakin banyak orang memahami manfaat Bitcoin dan teknologi blockchain, tingkat adopsi akan tumbuh secara alami.
Ia juga mencatat bahwa pemotongan suku bunga oleh The Fed dapat mendukung tren kenaikan aset berisiko seperti Bitcoin, oleh karena itu dengan meningkatnya likuiditas di pasar, Bitcoin memiliki peluang besar untuk melanjutkan penguatan.
Selain itu, menurut dia, Fear and Greed Index, yang saat ini berada di angka 76, dapat menjadi indikator positif. Sentimen greed di pasar menunjukkan optimisme investor, tetapi kita harus tetap waspada terhadap volatilitas yang dapat mempengaruhi stabilitas pasar, karena semakin tinggi kepercayaan terhadap pasar, maka sebagian orang akan melakukan aksi jual.
“Jika tren ini berlanjut, tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa Bitcoin akan menembus level psikologis di atas 104.000 dolar AS, melampaui rekor tertingginya yang tercatat minggu lalu,” katanya.
Namun demikian Oscar menyatakan pentingnya regulasi yang mendukung, yang mana regulasi yang jelas dan proaktif dapat menciptakan ekosistem yang sehat bagi pertumbuhan aset digital di Indonesia maupun secara global.
